Our story
From Parvati to Parvata — where our name comes from

Parvata takes its name from Parvati — the Indian goddess whose name literally means "daughter of the mountains". That is no coincidence: the surname of the studio’s lead tattoo artist — Góra — carries the very same symbolism ("góra" is Polish for mountain). Two mountains — one from Sanskrit, one from an ID card — met on Chrobrego street, and that is how Parvata came to be. Today we work at ul. Poświęcka 17/40.
The mountain means more to us than wordplay. A good tattoo comes to life like a climb to a summit: it takes a plan, patience and trust in the person leading the way. There are no shortcuts — there is a consultation, a design, a session and healing, step by step. Justyna has been tattooing for 5 years and built the whole studio around that rhythm: intimate, calm, focused on one person at a time.
Today Parvata is a team of artists with complementary specialisations — from delicate fine line and lettering, through ornamental work and blackwork, to realism and permanent eyebrow makeup. Each of us arrived with our own line and our own fascinations, but one conviction unites us: tattooing is an artistic craft, not an assembly-line service.
Custom designs
We design every tattoo from scratch — based on your idea, the anatomy of the placement and the style you love. There is no binder of ready-mades here; if you prefer a proven starting point, choose an original flash design by our artists, tattooed only once.
Hygiene and safety
We work exclusively with single-use cartridge needles opened in front of the client and certified REACH-compliant pigments. The workstation is fully disinfected before every session, and protective films and gloves are the standard, not an option.
Unhurried work
We work strictly by appointment, so there is no queue and no rush in the studio. Your artist gives you one hundred percent of their attention — from the first conversation about the design to the check-up of the healed piece.
Inspirations
What inspires us
Each of us has our own visual language, but our designs grow from two shared sources. They are what makes work from Parvata recognisable on skin:
Nature and ornament
Botanicals, organic forms and the rhythm of ornament are the foundation of our portfolio. We are fascinated by how nature builds patterns: the symmetry of a leaf, the spiral of a shell, the repetition of a mandala. We carry those structures onto skin in blackwork, dotwork and ornamental compositions — from delicate branches to elaborate tribal and neotribal projects.
Ornament has one quality we love: it flows with the body. A well-guided pattern emphasises anatomy instead of fighting it — which is why we so often refine designs directly on the skin, following the line of a muscle or the arc of a collarbone.
Art and graphics
The second source is graphics in the broad sense: illustration, printmaking, dark realism and contemporary currents in tattooing — from surrealism to cybersigilism. We follow what is happening in world tattooing and art not to copy, but to understand where the language of this craft is heading.
From graphic art we take compositional thinking: contrast, light, negative space. They are what makes a piece read from a distance — and hold its character years later.
Every inspiration, however, passes through the same filter: your story and your anatomy. We do not tattoo Pinterest designs one-to-one — we translate them into a piece that will live on your body.
How we work
Our way of working
We always start with a free consultation. You come with an idea, a story or just a hunch — and leave with a concrete plan: style, size, placement, quote and date. The consultation commits you to nothing; its purpose is to check whether we are on the same wavelength.
The design is created from scratch, for the anatomy of the specific placement. You see it before the session and we talk through every remark — the stencil is a map for us, not a rigid template. And if we believe your idea will not age well, we say so directly and propose a direction that will serve you for years. Knowing when to say no is part of the craft too.
From the first meeting to the check-up of the healed piece, the same artist guides you. One or two people work in the studio at a time, so your session is your time: no three machines buzzing behind the wall, no strangers over your shoulder, no rush.

What we do
All of our work revolves around skin and pigment — in four areas:
Psie Pole
Our neighbourhood and how to find us
You will find our studio at ul. Poświęcka 17/40, in the Poświętne area on Wrocław’s Psie Pole. It is a calm, low-rise part of the city — no crowds at the door, no noise from a busy high street. For a studio that works by appointment only, that quiet is worth more than a prestigious address: you arrive, you leave the car, and the session belongs to you alone.
Getting here is simpler than the map suggests. Buses 129 and 248 stop right on Poświęcka (129 does not run through the centre, so check which one you need), and the “Poświętne” tram loop on Żmigrodzka — lines 1, 7 and 15 — is about 1.3 km away, some 16 minutes on foot. Tram 15 runs from there to Wrocław Główny with no change, and tram 7 reaches the Rynek in about 16 minutes; door to door from the centre, allow 35–45 minutes. By car it is roughly 7 km to the Market Square and 8 km to the main station, realistically 15–25 minutes with traffic. The area lies outside the paid parking zone, so you can leave the car on the neighbouring streets for free.
Our clients come to us from all over Wrocław — from Nadodrze and the centre as much as from the northern districts — and from the towns around the city. If you are travelling in from further away, mention it when you book: we will set the session time so you are not fighting rush hour on the way there or back. A tattoo is a good excuse to see a little more of Wrocław than its postcard side.
Your first visit
What to expect when you walk through the door
We know the first step is often the hardest — especially if it is your first tattoo. So let us say it plainly: you can come to Parvata just to talk. No session booking, no obligations, no "so when do we schedule?". The consultation is free and genuinely non-binding.
What does it look like from the doorstep? An intimate space instead of a noisy salon, warm light, one or two people at work. We sit down over the design: you tell us your idea, show inspirations (phone screenshots are perfectly fine), and we advise on style, size and placement. If you like, you can look through healed work at a similar scale right away.
You leave the consultation with specifics: a quote, the number of sessions and a proposed date. You make the decision at your own pace — nobody here sells a tattoo "for right now". A good tattoo starts with a good decision, not with pressure.
We speak Polish, English and German
Our entire website, booking form and communication work in four languages: Polish, English, Ukrainian and German. If Polish is not your first language — write to us in whichever is comfortable, and we will take care of the rest. Wrocław is a city of many languages, and so is our studio.
