We agree the session length individually with the artist — a session does not mean a whole day. It depends on the complexity of the project, how your skin responds and how you feel; for larger pieces we book further sessions.

During pregnancy — no, a rule without exceptions. While breastfeeding we recommend waiting until it ends: the risk is negligible, but a potential infection would require medication complicating lactation. We’re happy to plan the project in advance for “after”.

It depends on the goal: a single word works like a sign — strong and immediate, a sentence like a memory you read. The shorter form gives more freedom in typeface and placement; the longer one needs simpler typography and more surface. In the consultation we try both routes on your words.

Small designs start at 400 PLN. The final price depends on the level of detail and the placement — we give it during a free consultation.

We accept cash, BLIK and bank transfer. The final amount is settled after the finished session.

Yes. To book an appointment we take a deposit of 100–500 PLN (depending on session length), which we deduct from the tattoo price. The deposit is non-refundable in every case — it covers the time spent preparing your design and reserving the slot — so we do not give it back in cash even for an early cancellation. It can only be moved to a new appointment if you report the change at the latest 2 weeks before the session; after that it is forfeited.

Mainly the working time: the size of the design, the level of detail, the use of colour, the placement, the style and the number of sessions needed.

We do permanent brow makeup using the powder method for 800 PLN. A follow-up pigmentation after healing is 100 PLN, but it is not always needed — we always assess the real condition of the brows. You will find the details on our permanent makeup page.

The price depends on time at the skin rather than the placement itself — the forearm carries no difficulty surcharge at Parvata Tattoo, because it is technically obliging. The smallest projects start at 300 PLN, the rate for a minimalist tattoo, and that usually covers a small motif or a short piece of lettering. An ornamental piece or botanical work running the length of the forearm is most often two to four hours of work, so the figure rises with the time. Large, densely shaded projects generally fall between 1000 and 2000 PLN, while work spread across several appointments is billed per session at 1800 PLN. A custom design and the post-healing check-up are included. We give a binding figure after a free consultation, and take a 100–500 PLN deposit that comes off the final price in full.

The first touch-up is free if you get in touch within 6 weeks of getting the tattoo, send a photo after healing, and at least 4 weeks have passed since healing (the artist assesses whether the skin is ready). Adding new elements and touch-ups needed due to aftercare neglect are paid.

Good-quality black doesn't turn green — that myth comes from old, poor inks. We work exclusively with certified, high-grade pigments, so blackwork stays deep and crisp for years. Black's biggest enemy is the sun, so protect a healed tattoo with SPF sunscreen.

Somewhat — less sun and sweat means calmer conditions for fresh colour, which is why we like to schedule large colour projects for the cooler months. We also work with colour in summer without worry, just with stricter protection: shade, loose clothing and a dressing matched to the weather.

After full healing, usually after about three to four weeks. Chlorine, bacteria and long soaking are the most common causes of healing problems. A short shower, on the other hand, is fine from the moment the dressing comes off.

Don't panic: cool the skin, moisturise it and from that moment keep the tattoo strictly in the shade. Watch the spot — if strong redness, blisters or pain appear, contact us or a doctor. After healing we'll assess whether the piece needs a touch-up.

Top down: upper arm, then forearm, and the hand last if it enters the plan at all. Healing decides that, not the design. The upper arm and forearm need two to four weeks at very low friction, whereas the hand formally closes faster, in ten to twenty-one days, but at friction of 5 out of 5 it demands incomparably more discipline in aftercare. The calf gives pain at the level of an upper arm, a decent surface, simple aftercare and full coverability, so it is a calm first choice. The only difference against the forearm is that you will not see your own calf well, so contact with the healing piece is less direct. We do not propose the ankle for a first tattoo, because it combines a harder sensation with worse durability and longer healing — three things at once, and not worth learning simultaneously. Timing is worth thinking about too: healing on the leg falls more conveniently outside the summer.

We rarely propose it for a first tattoo, though for a quite different reason than with the hand — technically the back is a safe and forgiving placement. The problem is the scale of a first experience: a session lasting several hours, face down, on work you cannot see, plus healing that needs another person’s help, is a lot at once. It looks entirely different for a first large project: if you already have one or two pieces and know how your skin heals, the back is the natural next step. If you want to start here regardless, we suggest a staged approach — the first session covers a fragment of the intended composition in a muscular area, away from the spine and the shoulder blade.

We advise against it and say so plainly at the consultation. The reason is not symbolic — it is about information you do not yet have with a first tattoo. You do not know how your skin heals, how you handle a longer stretch under the needle, or how your pigment looks after a month, and the hand at 9 out of 10 for pain and 60% for touch-ups is the worst possible place to gather that experience. The second reason is practical: a first tattoo is also learning to collaborate on design, size and direction, and that goes far more easily on a forearm. The reasons are concrete: pain at 4 out of 10, touch-ups on 7% of pieces, healing that does not collide with daily life, and coverability of 5 out of 5, so the decision carries no professional consequences. If someone is unsure how those around them will react, the thigh lets the decision be made without that factor. There is one difference against the forearm worth knowing: you see a forearm every day, which helps enormously through the first weeks of healing, when the skin looks different from how it will end up. In exchange the thigh gives room for a project that needs no simplifying — if you have something elaborate in mind from the start, it is easier to begin where the idea fits whole.

They will soften slightly over time — like every tattoo. We design with a margin: proper spacing, a sensible size, no cramped detail in a miniature. Thanks to that the piece stays readable for years, and a refresh is a rare, short session.

It can, and increasingly is — Polish on skin has stopped being exotic and reads strongly precisely because everyone around understands it. 'It'll be okay' can hit harder than its English equivalent, because you can't read it indifferently.

Warning signs are: redness and swelling increasing after 3–4 days, purulent discharge, an unpleasant smell, fever, chills or red streaks spreading from the tattoo. In that case contact a doctor — and let the studio know.

The classic placements are the forearm, collarbone, ribs, spine and the back of the arm — there the text follows the natural lines of the body. We advise against fingers and the inside of the hand, where letters lose readability fastest.

Every tattoo softens a little over time — that is a natural process. That is why we design with a buffer: the right scale, measured contrast, spacing between details. Well-executed micro-realism still reads perfectly years later, and a possible refresh is one short session.

Often — blurred letters can be re-saturated and sharpened, a crooked line can be balanced compositionally, and hopeless cases can be elegantly covered. Send a photo through the form and we will tell you honestly which option makes sense.

We plan the composition 'forward': we leave room for more plants and keep a shared direction of growth. Such a garden-sleeve grows with you over the years — each session adds a new plant to the collection.

It is our most frequent and most rewarding piece: a coin-sized portrait of a companion, faithful down to the marking on the fur. A few sharp photos in daylight are enough — ideally at snout level. We take care of the rest, from the framing to the detail of the eye.

It depends on the tattoo's size, the placement and your artist's individual advice — usually from a few days. You'll get precise instructions on how long to wear the film and how to remove it safely after the session.

Apply three filters: would the words mean something to you if no one else knew them; have they already survived some time in your life (not from yesterday's playlist); and, read aloud on an ordinary Monday, do they still work. A candidate that passes all three — stays.

Yes, we do it often: from one shot we take the pet's snout, from another the eyes, from a third the light. It matters that all the photos are sharp and taken in similar lighting — the design handles the rest. Send everything you have and we will pick the best parts.

In our studio blackwork and realism lead, with geometry and Norse motifs right behind. We advise against choosing by fashion, though: a trend lasts two years, work on skin — a lifetime. A better filter than “trending” is “mine”.

Often even better — fur, eyes and distinctive markings give realism a rewarding playground, and pet portraits are among our most frequent commissions. The key, as always, is the reference: a sharp photo at muzzle level in daylight.

Our calendar is led by botany — from delicate fineline sprigs to developed floral compositions — with ornament and small lettering right behind. We advise filtering fashions through your own story though: a design that means something to you never goes out of style.

On the design itself and right beside it — after the skin fully closes, usually 2–3 weeks. Until then no foundation, acids, retinol or self-tanner in that area. Makeup on the rest of your face and body — unrestricted from day one.

Yes — the rules are the same as with anime: original fan art instead of a copy, a design built for your body and respect for the source. From games through cartoons to comics — if a character means something to you, we will design it well.

Yes — crossovers are one of our clients favourite categories. The key is a shared visual denominator: one line weight, a consistent colour temperature and a composition in which the characters talk to each other instead of competing. On a fan-art design we plan such a combination exactly as carefully as a single frame — and the result is often more personal than any original frame from the screen.
